PRIRA Awards

Taste of Rum will be the island’s official National – Caribbean Rum Festival and Awards.

The 2009 event was held at Hotel Casa Herencia - Viejo San Juan, Memorial Day Weekend 2009 - May 23rd & 24th.

Puerto Rico is known for its world-class rum and as the Rum Capital of The World.

Thus, such is the importance of hosting such a cutting-edge event.

Taste of Rum is the ideal setting for rum connoisseurs world-wide, attracting visitors from Europe, Latin America, the United States Mainland and the Neighboring Islands of the Caribbean.

The Festival will host the Puerto Rico International Rum Award: A rum tasting contest featuring international and local rums judged by an honorary panel of respected and world renowned Rum Experts, Magazine Editors, National TV Anchors and celebrity personalities.

Throughout the years, Taste of Rum is destined to attract nation-wide media and news in order to promote our Island as a great Rum and Vacation Destination.
